Shots of Barratt Homes Sales team showing a couple of girls how to do the planting, girls doing the planting, Rainbow girls enjoying the planting – smiling, talking etc…

What a great little event, it was a very hot and sunny afternoon for the team so the Rainbows girls had a great time hosing the planted flowers at the end!

Barratt Homes and Rainbows

Growing together for a brighter tomorrow

A really  heartwarming display of community spirit and partnership bringing an environmental commitment. Barratt Homes new development in Rugby, Warwickshire joined forces with local Rainbows group bring Young People to plant flowers and brighten the grounds up in front of the new Barrat Homes show home on Ashlawn Gardens. This collaborative initiative not only enhanced the developers outdoor spaces but also fostered a meaningful connection between corporate responsibility and compassionate care. Being asked to photograph this was a pleasure.

The impact

  • A Brighter Space: The show homes gardens are now filled with colour and life, providing a serene and joyful environment for all to enjoying visiting Barratt Homes or just passing by.

  • Community Connection: The event brought together corporate volunteers and a young group, building relationships and mutual appreciation.

  • Environmental Awareness: The focus on pollinator-friendly plants aligned with both organisations’ sustainability values.

Conclusion

This collaboration between Barratt Homes and Rainbows shows how even small acts, like planting flowers can have a deep, lasting impact. It’s a model of how businesses can engage with local groups in meaningful, hands-on ways that bring joy, beauty, and hope to the people who need it most.
